During the Months of February and March, we engaged citizens through a virtual conference. Much like any conference you would attend, the virtual conference will hosted ‘sessions’ that participants could attend online. These sessions were led by panels of local leaders and nonprofit organizations working together to address some of the key areas our data highlighted as concerns for children in our community.
Citizens participated in the process by logging on to the virtual conference and viewing the sessions. They had the opportunity to chat and participate in conversations with the panel members as well as a bulletin board where they could post their ideas, thoughts and suggestions to improve the lives of children and to deliver on one of 5 Promises: Caring Adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, An Effective Education and Opportunities to Serve.
